This is our original Residential Care Home and was opened in October 1989. The Home is situated by the side of Victoria Recreational Park. The Victoria Lodge is fully registered for 23 residents who are accommodated on three floors. The majority of the accommodation has en-suite facilities. There are two tastefully decorated Lounges and a multi windowed Dining Room which overlooks the rear garden, giving an al fresco dining appearance.

The gardens are the ideal spot for sitting, reading or just chatting to friends. Lunches and Afternoon Teas can be served in the Gardens. The purpose built B.B.Q. comes into its own in the Summer months and the large fish pond with Koi Carp adds to the tranquil feel of the garden.

All bedrooms have full central heating and all are provided with colour television. There is a passenger lift which serves all floors. The Home is only a few minutes walk away from the nearest local shops and the added facility of a Mini Bus trip to the market and town centre on a Wednesday makes shopping a pleasure. Although situated near to the town centre, The Victoria Lodge is located in a quiet residential area of the town.

Live entertainment is provided to Residents on a regular basis free of charge as are Mini Bus trips to the countryside for afternoon tea and to other places of interest. There is no charge for any additional entertainment or standard trips. The Home runs a weekly ‘keep fit’ class which is taken by a Trained Nurse. Hairdressing, Chiropody and other medical and ancillary services will be arranged by the Home Manager. As with all our Homes, Visitors are welcome at any time and are invited to join Residents for meals.
