The Victoria Grand is the largest of our
Residential Care Homes and is licensed with West Sussex County
Council for the accommodation of 27 Residents. Following a twelve
month refurbishment which was completed in 2001, this Home now
offers the very best in residential care. The majority of
bedrooms, on all three floors, now have en-suite facilities.
The
very large King Solomon Lounge which overlooks the sunken garden
and fish pond is the centre of Home activities and entertainment.
There is also the Chinese Lounge on the eastern side of the
building which is considered by all to be the ‘quiet lounge’; and,
with its balcony is the ideal spot for a game of cards with your
friends or simply to read the newspaper. On the first floor there
is a smoking and television lounge. The large passenger lift
serves all floors.
Residents who wish, are actively
encouraged to follow hobbies and activities both inside and
outside the Home. There is a special area in the gardens, complete
with a greenhouse, for those who wish to retain their ‘green
fingers’. As with all our Homes, all meals are prepared by Chef
using the very best of fresh ingredients and vegetables in season.
There is always a choice at meal times, and Vegetarian and
Diabetic diets are catered for.
Visitors are welcome to call at any time
and are welcome to join Residents for Luncheon in the main Dining
Room situated on the ground floor. The aim of the Victoria Grand
is the care, comfort and dignity of all Residents and every
attention is given to preserve these points in a friendly yet
stimulating atmosphere. |
